Qualitative operation by Internal Forces in villages south of Qamishlo city

The Internal Security Forces carried out a qualitative operation targeting villages south of Qamishlo city that were previously located within areas controlled by the Assad regime forces, and seized a quantity of weapons and ammunition.

The Media Center of the Internal Security Forces published that the HAT Special Forces carried out a qualitative operation in the early hours of December 30 targeting several villages south of Qamishlo city, which were previously under the control of the Assad regime forces.

The operation came, according to the Media Center, to pursue cells affiliated with the Turkish occupation state and ISIS mercenaries.

The combing operations included the villages of: "Hamo, Qusayr, Khirbet Ammo, Al-Zanoud, and the vicinity of the Tartab Regiment."

The Internal Security Forces indicated that during the operation, clashes took place between the forces and one of the wanted persons who fired his pistol, which led to his death and the injury of one of the forces' members.

The operation resulted in the seizure of quantities of weapons, ammunition and equipment, including:

12 - Hand grenades

- Kalashnikov rifle with 7 full magazines, 3 empty magazines and 19 additional bullets

- Turkish 7-caliber pistol with magazine and 3 bullets

8- Mobile phones, 2 small phones

- Camera and a number of military equipment
