PYD, K.Star celebrate leader's birthday in Damascus

 The Democratic Union Party Council and the Kongra Star Council in the capital, Damascus, organized a celebration on occasion of the birth of leader attended by dozens of people.

The celebration began with a minute of silence, then the member of relations in Damascus, Muhammad Ibish, blessed: “The Guerrilla fighters, the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, and our people, who defend the gains of our people everywhere, and all of humanity on this day.”

He explained, "The birth of Leader Apo is the day of resurrection for the Kurdish people, after the world powers tried to erase their identity. The leader and thinker Abdullah Ocalan had the primary role in reviving the cause of the Kurdistan people after the revolutions and uprisings of our people suffered failures over a lack of self-reliance."

He noted, "When we celebrate the birth of the leader, we celebrate of the project of the democratic nation and the brotherhood of peoples. We also celebrate the birth of modernity, freedom, justice, equality, democracy, and the women's revolution against the outdated dominant male system."

For her part, Kongra Star spokeswoman, Newroz Khalil, congratulated the Kurdish people and free women on the birth of the leader.

She said: “We demand the leader’s physical freedom, as women’s freedom is linked to the leader’s freedom. The leader’s philosophy is built on the basis of women’s ideology. Accordingly, we will struggle to  achieve leader freedom."

The celebration ended with revolutionary songs.
