PYD called on the ruling authorities to reconsider all their decisions and urged the Syrian people to take an active role in shaping the future of a new Syria, ensuring that past failures are not repeated.

In its statement, the PYD General Council strongly condemned the unilateral practices adopted by the new ruling authority in Damascus. The statement criticized the imposition of a governance model based on the principle of "whoever liberates, decides," under which the ruling authorities have handpicked factions, appointed a president, and formed a one-sided committee to prepare for a so-called "National Dialogue Conference." The PYD asserted that individuals selected for this process were chosen to legitimize the new rulers rather than to genuinely represent the political and social concerns of the Syrian people.

Furthermore, the PYD criticized the formation of a constitutional drafting committee composed primarily of figures aligned with the ruling authorities, arguing that the resulting constitutional declaration merely reinforces authoritarian rule rather than reflecting the diverse aspirations of the Syrian population. The statement also condemned the exclusion of women's rights and the disregard for international treaties and conventions on individual and collective freedoms.
