Kurdistanis and their allies from Germany, France, and the Netherlands responded to the call by the European Kurdish Democratic Society Congress (KCDK-E) and the Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E) and gathered in Brussels, Belgium, to protest against the attacks of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on the North and East Syria region.

The crowd gathered in Place du Porte de Namur, holding banners that highlighted the war crimes committed by the Turkish occupation state against the people of North and East Syria. They also raised the flags of the People's Protection Units (YPG) and Women's Protection Units (YPJ).

After observing a moment of silence, the crowd marched toward the European Parliament. The Co-chair of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK), Ahmed Karamus, stated that if the attacks are not stopped, a humanitarian tragedy will occur, urging the European Parliament to play its role in addressing the issue.

In a statement on behalf of the crowd, a message was directed to European institutions, criticizing their silence regarding the attacks by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries.

Swedish Left Party Member of Parliament Jonas Sjöstedt and Basque Left Party MP Bernardo Barrena spoke during the event, expressing their support for Rojava, which continues to resist the occupation attacks.

Fouad Omar, the representative of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Europe, emphasized that the attacks by the Turkish occupation state aim to revive ISIS mercenaries in the region, stating: "International powers and the European Parliament must address this issue seriously."

Omar further called on Kurds, saying: "This is not just a war in Rojava, but a war for freedom in the Middle East. This is the war of all Kurdistan, and it is the war of the Kurdish people."

In the same context, Ahmed Karamus, Co-chair of the Kurdistan National Congress, stated that through its attacks, the Turkish state aims to destroy the existence and identity of the Kurdish people and to change the demographics of Rojava. Karamus urged the Council of Europe and European public opinion, saying: "If the attacks are not stopped, a humanitarian tragedy will occur. We call on the European Union: if it plays its role and takes a stance against the Turkish state's attacks, it will help prevent a humanitarian catastrophe and massacres."
