Protesters at Tishrin Dam open exhibition in honor of martyrs

The local people continue their resistance at Tishrin Dam to protect it from attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. The protests have now reached their 44th consecutive day, with residents of Jazera Canton arriving at the dam on Wednesday.

To commemorate the protesters who lost their lives due to deliberate Turkish shelling on Tishrin Dam, totaling 24 martyrs, including three journalists, the protesters organized a tribute exhibition in their honor.

The exhibition features a banner displaying the photos of the 24 martyrs, another banner reading "We Are Greater Than Death," and personal belongings of journalists Cîhan Bilgin, Nazim Dashtan, and Akid Roj, surrounded by candles.

The opening event included a speech by one of the protesters at Tishrin Dam, Kadar Hussein, who remembered the martyrs and emphasized the need to follow in their footsteps. He stressed the importance of continuing the resistance and protecting the achievements of the region, particularly Tishrin Dam.

Since January 8, protests organized by the people of North and East Syria have continued at Tishrin Dam to protect it from attacks by the Turkish occupation.
