The people of North and East Syria continue to protest above the Tishreen Dam to protect it from attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. Components of Al-Jazira Canton continue to protest at the Tishreen Dam, despite the direct bombardment of the dam by the occupation drones.

Citizen Muhammad Hussein from the city of Hasaka confirmed that: “The Tishreen Dam is of great importance to all components of the NE Syria region, and Syria in general, as it supplies the region with electricity and water.”

Muhammad Hussein added: "The components of the NE Syria region continue to head towards the Tishreen Dam to support the Syrian Democratic Forces, which have been protecting the dam for about two months."

Hussein stressed: "After our arrival at the dam, we confirmed that the components of the region play an important role in protecting the dam, just as the Syrian Democratic Forces do, as they stand by it with high spirit and strong determination."

He denounced the silence of international and humanitarian organizations regarding the violations and direct targeting of protesters at the Tishreen Dam.

For his part, citizen Khaled Muhammad from the city of Zarghan stressed: “We will not back down from protecting the Tishreen Dam no matter what happens.”

He called on international powers and human rights organizations to intervene to stop the massacres committed by Turkey against the components of the NE Syria region.

Citizen Mustafa Alloush from the city of Kobani said: “The strategic importance of the dam is due to all parts of Syria, not just to NE Syria, and its collapse will negatively affect many cities.”

He added: "The countries of the world must open their eyes to the crimes committed by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries against the components of the region and the vital installations that serve them."

He stressed that "protecting the Tishreen Dam is the responsibility of all Syrian components."
