Dozens of displaced residents of the western countryside villages of Sweida organized a protest on Wednesday morning at al-Omran Roundabout in Sweida city under the slogan, "Return Is a Right... We Will Not Abandon Our Land." They demanded their right to return to their destroyed homes within the areas controlled by the Transitional Government Forces.

In a statement, the protesters affirmed the unity of the popular stance in the face of the violations and attacks targeting their villages and families by the Transitional Government Forces in Syria. They demanded:

Evacuation of all armed forces affiliated with the Transitional Government Forces from the villages and areas that threaten the lives and security of civilians.

The immediate release of all abductees, both men and women, held by the Transitional Government Forces, and ensuring their safe return to their families without restrictions or conditions.

Compensation for those affected for the material and moral losses incurred to their homes and property.

Compensation for the families of the martyrs and wounded who sacrificed their lives in defense of their villages and dignity.

Holding officials in the Transitional Government Forces accountable for crimes and violations committed against civilians.

This protest affirmed the residents' adherence to their right to return and their refusal to relinquish their lands and property, in light of the violations ongoing in their areas.

On Tuesday, Shahba city in Sweida witnessed a protest at the Roman Stadium, organized by the "Sabaya Sanad" group, demanding the immediate release of all kidnapped men and women and revealing their fate. They condemned the ongoing kidnappings and violations against civilians.

These protests are part of a series of daily protests carried out by residents and civil groups in Sweida, affirming their insistence on obtaining their rights and demanding that relevant authorities and the local community take urgent action to end the suffering of the kidnapped and displaced.
