Today, Sweida witnessed a popular gathering in Karama Square, with hundreds of citizens participating to demand the release of detainees whose news has been cut off for varying periods, and to affirm their right to self-determination.

The participants raised banners and slogans calling for freedom and justice, affirming the continuation of peaceful movements until their demands are met, in light of what they described as the absence of an official response to previous demands.

The protesters chanted slogans including, "The safe corridor is indispensable," demanding the creation of geographical and economic outlets that ensure the continuation of a dignified life, and affirming their adherence to the peaceful movement to achieve their demands for political change and justice.
