Today, a large-scale popular demonstration took place in Al-Karama Square in the city of Sweida, attended by hundreds of residents. They held banners and posters demanding the release of abducted and forcibly disappeared women and the recognition of the residents' right to self-determination.

This demonstration followed a series of protests held on August 27 in Sweida and its countryside. Participants raised slogans demanding the withdrawal of transitional government forces, accusing them of committing violations including killing, displacement, and the burning of property. They expressed their fear that these practices aim to erase the residents' identity and break their will.

The demonstrators affirmed their adherence to their right to live in safety and dignity on their land, emphasizing that their demands stem from legitimate civil and political rights. They called on the relevant authorities to respond to their demands and work to protect civilians and safeguard their rights
