Protest in Damascus against relocation of Daraa bus terminal from Bab Musalla

Drivers, students, and local residents have voiced their opposition to the relocation of the Daraa bus terminal from the Bab Musalla area to Thalatheen Street, calling for the decision to be reconsidered and warning of its impact on daily transportation.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, drivers, residents, and university students staged a protest today in front of the Daraa bus terminal in the Bab Musalla district of Damascus, rejecting the decision to move the terminal to Thalatheen Street. They urged the relevant authorities to review the decision, citing its negative impact on public transportation and the hardship it would impose on local residents.

The protesters stressed that the relocation would make access to public transport more difficult, particularly for students and commuters who rely on the transport routes connected to the terminal.

They also called for alternative solutions that take into account the circumstances of both drivers and passengers, while ensuring continued, convenient access to transportation services in an organized and efficient manner.
