The Postal Directorate in the city of Çil Agha, in the Jazera region, modified the post office’s signage to include the city's name in Kurdish. This move followed a wave of public backlash and demands for the Kurdish name to be recognized alongside the Arabic one.

The post office had opened last week as part of an integration process, but the sign had only the name "Al-Jawadiya," omitting the Kurdish name "Çil Agha"—an oversight that sparked widespread discontent among local residents.

Social media platforms saw calls for adding the Kurdish name to the sign, as well as appeals to organize a protest demanding the correction.

Consequently, the Postal Directorate modified the sign today to include "Çil Agha" in Kurdish—a step that was welcomed by the local community.
