Interior Ministry personnel entered the city of Qamishlo and arrived at the security square, in a step aligned with the provisions of the agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian government. Both sides discussed the procedures carried out today and the overall atmosphere accompanying the operation.

Halima Mahmoud Abu Bakr, a member of the General Command of the Internal Security Forces in northeast Syria, welcomed the agreement, saying:
"We welcome this agreement between the SDF and the Syrian government. We are advocates of peace, not war, and we are committed to implementing the provisions of the agreement. Woman, Life, Freedom."

For his part, Mahmoud Khalil Ali (Siabend Afrin), a leader within the Internal Security Forces in northeast Syria, stated:

"The ceasefire has been implemented, and the second provision entry of forces into Qamishlo and al-Hasakah was carried out today. Work on the remaining provisions will continue, foremost among them the return of military forces from both sides to their main bases. So far, there have been no obstacles or impediments, and we will continue in this manner."

Meanwhile, Nour al-Din al-Baba, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior of the interim Syrian government, said:

"We entered Qamishlo today without any obstacles, and there was extensive coordination with the Asayish. We thank them for their efforts and warm reception."

Al-Baba added that the Interior Ministry forces will take over security buildings from the Asayish and cooperate with them in maintaining security as stipulated in the agreement.

He noted that the events of the day reflect a positive atmosphere among all parties, which he described as what the Syrian people need today. He added:
"The Syrian people, in all their diversity, have prevailed. Today a new page has been opened to build Syria free from vengeance, sectarian rhetoric, and hatred. Syria is built by all its people, and al-Hasakah will remain a vibrant heart for the entire country."

Al-Baba concluded by expressing hope that all provisions of the agreement will be fully implemented.
