Political activist points out the ways to confront Turkish attacks
A Syrian political activist believes that applying the concept of the democratic nation is sufficient to confront the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on the region of North and East Syria, in all their various methods and forms, and intensifying its dissemination contributes to shaking off the mentality of the traditional ruling regimes, and automatically opens the way for humanity to enter the era of democratic civilization.
In an interview with ANHA's agency, political activist and member of the Democratic Union Party Council in the city of Tal Brak, Abdul Rahman Fatimi, pointed out the requirements and needs of the people of North and East Syria to confront the attacks of the Turkish occupation, how to achieve this, and its impact.
He said: "We need to organize the ranks and increase the popular power to weaken the traditional regimes at the level of the region, and the world, starting from North and East Syria, through the intensive dissemination of the culture of democracy and the mentality of the moral and political community."
He believes that this is enough for peoples to confront attacks of all kinds and forms, and is enough to overthrow the traditional ruling systems prevailing in the world.
Abdul Rahman added, saying: "Today we see that the vast majority of peoples have awakened from their slumber and have begun to shake off the dust of traditional systems from themselves, and have begun to work to create an alternative. This is clear from people's adherence to their homeland, as is clear from the activity of women who have begun to participate in all fields."
The political activist believes that the future is better for the peoples and that they will inevitably break the isolation and then humanity will have entered a new era called the era of democratic civilization.
Citing this, he noted that what the Turkish authorities are practicing against Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison is conclusive evidence that the traditional ruling systems are collapsing in the face of the liberal ideas and knowledge that the peoples of the world have come to possess, and it shows the importance of his project and concept, the democratic nation, to move the world to the era of democratic civilization, instead of the ruling system based on capitalist modernity.
He held intellectuals and politicians responsible for the change and its consolidation. Regarding the role of intellectuals and politicians in this, Fatimi said: “We now notice that the people’s movement has produced intellectuals and politicians whose culture is measured by the extent of their sacrifices for their societies. This type of intellectual is distinguished from others by their living conscience, not by the university degrees they hold and others.”
He added: “The work of the intellectual is to spread these liberal ideas and shed light on the policies of cultural and physical genocide, and to clarify the history falsified by the authorities, to push society towards the constant search for solutions to its problems, and also to work on directing the mind and heart towards liberal ethics and community politics.”
Demanding, the political activist and member of the Democratic Union Party Council in the city of Tal Brak, Abdul Rahman Fatimi, said: “All politicians and intellectuals must play their assigned role to shake off the mentality of traditional systems from society.”
