Performing Eid prayers at Tishreen Dam
Residents protesting on the Tishreen Dam in North and East Syria, demanding its protection from Turkish occupation attacks, performed Eid prayers at the dam.
The people of NE Syria have continued their protest to protect the Tishreen Dam from attacks by the Turkish occupation, demanding international forces take action to stop these attacks. Since January 8, they began the first day of Eid by performing Eid prayers at the dam, reaffirming their commitment to their land and resources.
As the prayer concluded, the worshippers prayed to God for the country to enjoy security and stability.
Yesterday, on the eve of Eid, a group of protesters at the Tishreen Dam organized a torchlight march around the dam to express their solidarity with the martyrs and the sacrifices of the people of the region. They also lit candles in honor of the martyrs who fell defending the dam.
Thousands of citizens also lit candles at the graves of the martyrs and at shrines to honor their sacrifices. Participants affirmed their commitment to continuing the struggle for the region's freedom and safety.
At the conclusion of the Eid prayer, the worshippers exchanged greetings and congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
