People of Çil Axa: freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is key to furthering peace process

Some people from the town of Çil Axa emphasized the importance of the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, arguing that his liberation is a basic requirement for furthering the peace process and dialogue in the region, and helping find the democratic solutions that enhance the security and stability in the Middle East.

Some people from the town of Çil Axa from al-Jazira region explained that the current phase characterized by political developments and quick changes in the region necessitates the fulfillment of the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Öcalan, which will help peace process and facilitate dialogue between the various parties in the region.

In this regard, Salamat Ramo stressed the need for increased efforts in order to ensure the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, urging human rights organizations and legal entities to work hard to pressure the Turkish government to give him "the right to hope."

She said that the Peace and Democratic Society Process has entered its second year, and that the steps taken within this framework need to be completed by securing the leader's freedom. She added that his continued detention hinders progress in the Peace and Democratic Society Process.

She further pointed out that achieving genuine progress in the peace process requires Abdullah Ocalan to be outside prison, as he is capable of contributing to strengthening dialogue and mutual understanding among the peoples of the region amid the crises and conflicts they continue to face.

For her part, Nermin Sheikho stated that the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is closely linked to the freedom of peoples and women. She affirmed that the leader's ideas have contributed to raising women's awareness of their rights and reinforcing the concepts of freedom and justice, and that his physical freedom represents a necessary step for the continuation of the peace process.

She added that women have drawn upon Abdullah Ocalan's thought to strengthen their role within society, and that any project aimed at achieving peace and stability should be accompanied by his physical freedom.

Meanwhile, Adnan Ali stated that the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan has become a necessity in light of the transformations taking place across the Middle East. He explained that the leader has put forward a project based on coexistence among peoples and respect for cultural and national diversity.

He concluded by emphasizing that Abdullah Ocalan's ideas have offered solutions for organizing societies and promoting peaceful coexistence. He said that securing his physical freedom constitutes a fundamental demand for a segment of the region's population, who view the leader as a figure capable of contributing to the achievement of peace and democracy.
