Operation "Enduring Security" continues on its second day and arrests 40 mercenaries

Operation "Enduring Security", launched by the Internal Security Forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women's Protection Units to search al-Hol camp and its surroundings in Jazera Canton, has entered its second day.

ANHA correspondent, who is following the operation, said that the forces of the " Enduring Security" operations room focused in the combing operation today on the line separating the cities of Al-Shadadi and Al-Hol.

And noted that the forces reached the Iraqi border in the south after combing several villages.

ANHA correspondent quoted field commanders in the forces of the " Enduring Security" operations room that so far 40 mercenaries from ISIS cells have been arrested, another has been killed and a quantity of weapons and ammunition has been confiscated.

The operation is still ongoing, targeting the combing of an area of more than 100 square kilometers in and around Al-Hol camp, in the geographical area between Al-Hol - Tal Hamis, Al-Hol - Hasaka, Al-Hol - Al-Arisha and Al-Shadadi.

The operation aims to pursue cells of ISIS mercenaries and collaborators who are trying to position themselves near and enter the camp, especially after a patrol of the Internal Security Forces was targeted last month.

The "Enduring Security" operations room said in a statement that "The combing operations in the northern countryside of the city of Al-Hol, as well as large areas of the southern countryside, including the Syrian-Iraqi border areas, dozens of natural caves in the area and possible hideouts of terrorist organization elements."
