Syria witnessed the killing of 10 people in various incidents across different regions in the past 24 hours, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The deaths were caused by a mix of assassinations, mysterious killings, and armed attacks, marking a notable escalation in both security-related and societal violence.

In Hama, a former volunteer in the Arzah Unit affiliated with Military Intelligence was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the city. Another person, a member of the 86th Division under the Transitional Government’s Ministry of Defense, was killed when a military vehicle he was riding in was targeted on the Athriya road in the countryside.

In Latakia, a young man was shot dead by members of the al-Barjan checkpoint while working on agricultural land near the village.

In Deir ez-Zor, a young man died from injuries sustained two days earlier in a shooting in the al-Jabeela neighborhood, while another individual was killed by a stray bullet of unknown origin in the town of Dhiban, in the eastern countryside of the province.

In Rural Damascus, two bodies were found with signs of execution in the Satir al-Jazeera al-Thani area within the al-Dimas housing complex. Another unidentified body was discovered west of the Zayzoun Dam in the al-Ghab Plain of western Hama.

In Homs, the bodies of a man and his wife were found shot dead in the al-Hasan ibn al-Haytham military camp, in what appeared to be a field-style execution.

These incidents highlight the fragility of the security situation in Syria and point to a growing pattern of targeted killings and violence, with no clear indication of perpetrators being apprehended or motives revealed.
