Israeli incursion in Yarmouk Basin, southern Syria

Israeli forces, supported by armored vehicles, entered the village of Saysoon in the Yarmouk Basin in western Daraa countryside. The Israeli army also entered a military barracks affiliated with the defunct regime's 112th Brigade in the village of Ain Dhikr in rural Daraa, according to local residents who witnessed the events last night.

Israel's Channel 24 reported on Thursday that the Israeli army has completed construction of its tenth military outpost inside Syrian territory, since the collapse of the defunct regime in December.

The report stated that Battalion 7006 was responsible for establishing and maintaining the new outpost, naming it after soldier Yishai Slotky, one of the Israeli soldiers killed in the Gaza Strip.

The channel quoted Israeli sources saying that the military outposts are distributed as follows: two at the foot of Mount Hermon, and eight near the occupied Syrian Golan.

On Wednesday, Israeli army reserve Colonel Moshe Alad said that the security agreement to be signed between Israel and Syria does not fall under the Abraham Accords and that Tel Aviv and Damascus will cooperate under this agreement to combat Hezbollah and Iran.

Previously, the Israeli army announced the execution of a special military operation in the countryside of Quneitra province, southwestern Syria, which resulted in the capture of a cell allegedly linked to Iran that was operating in the areas of Umm al-Luqas and Ain al-Basali.

Israeli military activity continues to intensify in southern Syria, aiming to strengthen its presence through the construction of new outposts and operations targeting cells affiliated with Iran and Hezbollah.
