The resistance of the protesters on the Tishreen Dam has entered its 19th day in a row, defying Turkish attacks, aircraft and drones, with a high spirit and morale that they derived from the Kobani victory, which today marks its tenth anniversary.

Yesterday, Saturday, hundreds of residents of the city of Kobani in the Euphrates Canton went to the Tishreen Dam to join the protest event to protect the dam from the attacks of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries, and on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the liberation of their city, they made a statement.

The statement was made by the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party in the Euphrates Canton, Berivan Ismail, and a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria, kilo Issa.

The statement congratulated the tenth anniversary of the liberation of the city of Kobani to all the fighters of the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the fighters of the Women’s Protection Units (Ypj) and all the fighters who are still resisting on the front lines of the occupation attacks.

Emphasizing: "The city of Kobani has turned into an arena of resistance and an arena in which the Kurds from the four parts of Kurdistan united, and we do not forget the stand of our people in NKurdistan with our people in Kobani and the opening of their homes to our children."

He added: "Just as the people and fighters wrote heroic epics together and immortalized their names in history during the Battle of Kobani, now they continue to establish their resistance at the Tishreen Dam."

They addressed their message to Erdogan: “Syria is heading towards a solution after the fall of the Assad regime. Leave the Syrian people alone to determine their future and live freely.”

They called on the international community to do its duty and put pressure on Turkey to put an end to its violations. They also called on the mercenaries, "Turkey is exploiting you. Your regions have been liberated. Return to them. Enough shedding the blood of the Syrians. With your actions, you are destroying your country, which everyone seeks to build. Turkey is exploiting you."
