Photos show Turkish occupation mercenaries, accompanied by settlers, carrying out extensive excavation and bulldozing operations in search of treasures and archaeological finds using heavy machinery such as bulldozers and tractors. They also erected earthen barriers within the historical site, under the direct supervision of Turkish intelligence, according to what was documented by the Afrin Human Rights Organization - Syria.

The organization's report indicated that in 2021, a training camp for Turkish occupation mercenaries was established within the archaeological site, where live ammunition was used during military exercises, without any regard for the site's historical and archaeological significance.

Tall Aindara is one of the most prominent archaeological hills in northern Syria. It houses a Hittite temple dating back to the first millennium BC and has been designated a Syrian National Heritage Site.
