The people of North and East Syria, led by the Kurds, were influenced by the ideas of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, like other peoples suffering under the yoke of injustice and tyranny, by the ideas and enlightenment through which thinkers and philosophers seek to chart the path to salvation and freedom, and his ideas have a clear contribution to what the region is witnessing today at various levels.

Therefore, intellectuals in North and East Syria believe that it is their duty to continue their struggle until the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is achieved. They emphasized that what enabled the people of the region to maintain their values and principles of coexistence and reject violence and racism is the result of what Leader Abdullah Ocalan presented.

In this context, the co-chair of the Authority for Culture and Antiquities in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Raqqa Canton, Hassan Mustafa, pointed out: “There is no doubt that what the region is being exposed to has far-reaching and strategic goals for the forces of global tyranny, most notably the Turkish Erdogan regime, which seeks by all means to restore its sultanate hegemony and the hegemony of the Ottoman Empire.” "It has become history that will never return."

Hassan Mustafa said: “Our stance against the assimilation operations does not come from a vacuum, but rather comes through our deep and firm understanding of the thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, whose thought was not a local or regional thought, but rather an international thought that seeks to spread love, brotherhood, and equality among the components, and seeks to spread a kind of democracy.” New and not the democracy that the colonial West pays lip service to, and which practices on the ground all methods of tyranny and domination.”

Our true understanding of the thought of leader Abdullah Ocalan prompts us to reject all forms of domination and tyranny

Hassan Mustafa noted: “Our true understanding of the thought of leader Abdullah Ocalan pushes us to reject all forms of domination and tyranny, whether it is physical or cultural tyranny, represented by all forms of cultural assimilation, change, and Turkification to which the Ottoman groups and their tools resort in the occupied Syrian region, and calls us to demand his freedom.”

The writer in the Democratic Middle East newspaper, Ismail al-Khaled, in turn, said: “The cultural fusion processes to which societies in the Middle East are subjected, as all beliefs, religions and philosophies meet, come to create rifts in societies.”

Regarding ways to confront it, he continued: “The ideas of Leader Abdullah Ocalan correct the course of cultures, and the true definition of the established, authentic cultures that have been subjected to both annihilation and denial, including the societies of North and East Syria and Syria, as well as the Middle East, have benefited from it, recognized their truth, and preserved their cultural heritage according to them.”

He drew attention to the interest that the ideas of Leader Abdullah Ocalan received in other societies: “The ideas of Leader Abdullah Ocalan received attention according to the nature and culture of each region, and these ideas received great interest, and many societies in the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America seek them, because they push for the organization of societies themselves.” itself, and to push it forward in order to preserve heritage, history, and culture and preserve democratic foundations and freedoms.”

Voices are rising year after year demanding the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan. It reached its climax with the global campaign that has been ongoing since the end of last year, under the slogan “Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan, the political solution to the Kurdish issue,” which was launched from 74 centers in countries around the world, and later expanded to reach... For more than 100 centers.
