NPG: PKK ceasefire decision applies to our forces

The Central Command of the HPG issued instructions to all the HPG and to all associated forces, including:

"The ceasefire decision taken by our party, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), on 1 March 2025, within the framework of the historic call made by leader Apo, applies to all our forces. Therefore, all relevant leaders and units must be sensitive to the ceasefire decision taken by our party, and fully abide by it.

There is no doubt that our forces have the primary right to defend themselves against any possible attack and to provide the necessary response within the framework of the legitimate right of defense, and our forces have the right to respond to ongoing attacks.

In particular, this decision includes, in addition to our main forces in Turkey and N Kurdistan, commando special task forces and all independent units and community protection units, such as MAK Kurdistan Freedom Activists, YPS, etc. Therefore, everyone must abide by it, and all relevant structures, which have independent movement capabilities, must reorganize themselves on the basis of self-defense in accordance with this resolution. During this important operation, none of our forces should be complacent in their actions and measures in any way, but should strengthen their measures of self-defense in all circumstances.

At this historical period, it is the primary duty of all the HPG and its units to act sensitively and responsibly, in order to develop attitude and struggle on the approach of leader Apo. They should also be careful and alert to possible provocative situations that may arise.

We are fully confident that all comrades will approach this decision responsibly.

On this basis, we salute all the commanders and comrades fighting, and wish them success."
