A delegation from the Nowruz Social and Cultural Association, accompanied by representatives of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Lebanon, carried out a series of visits on the occasion of Eid al-Adha to families from Rojava residing in Lebanon. The aim was to check on their social and living conditions and share the atmosphere of the holiday with them.

The visits included a number of Kurdish families who had been displaced multiple times after leaving their areas in Rojava due to the war, before once again facing displacement conditions inside Lebanon as a result of the recent Israeli war and the accompanying escalation and targeting of residential areas, which led to a worsening of their humanitarian and social suffering.

During the meetings, the delegation emphasized the importance of standing by the Kurdish people in these difficult circumstances, strengthening solidarity and communication among them, and listening to their needs and concerns amid the complex economic and living conditions in Lebanon.

The members of the delegation also stressed the importance of maintaining ties to the homeland, identity, and Kurdish culture, affirming that the regions of Rojava remain the main safe haven for its people, and that return represents an important step in preserving identity and national belonging.

The delegation noted that the people of Rojava, despite all they have endured in terms of displacement and wars, remain committed to their land, culture, and hopes of return.

They called for strengthening this connection among younger generations and not allowing the conditions of exile to weaken the relationship with the homeland.

For their part, the families expressed their appreciation for this humanitarian and social initiative, affirming that such visits help strengthen solidarity and alleviate feelings of alienation and hardship.

At the end of the visits, the delegation extended its greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, wishing that the holiday would bring goodness, peace, and safety to all peoples, and that refugees would be able to return to their homes with dignity and stability.
