Noon Initiative for Freedom of Leader Ocalan confirms its support for historic leader's call

The Noon Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan published a statement today on its official website, a copy of which we received, announcing its support for Leader Abdullah Ocalan's initiative for peace. The text reads 

The world today commemorates the twenty-sixth anniversary of the international conspiracy aimed at the arrest of leader Abdullah Ocalan and his detention in a solitary cell on a remote island, where he faced harsh detention conditions, including absolute isolation and psychological torture. Despite these difficult circumstances, the leader did not hesitate to fulfill his historical duties, transforming his cell into a center of intellectual and philosophical revolution, deepening his ideas and developing new theories in building democratic modernity. He studied history and analyzed reality to arrive at a roadmap for a dignified future. 

The struggle of leader Abdullah Ocalan has resonated widely among democrats and honorable people, especially the women activists, who have not wavered an inch in their fight for his freedom and the importance of his theories. Women have remained on the front lines for decades, participating in demonstrations and working hard to offer everything valuable to achieve his freedom. The freedom of women has been linked to the freedom of the leader, and they raised the slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom," being pioneers in forming women's work organizations and launching initiatives aimed at liberating leader Abdullah Ocalan, despite the ridicule they faced from some who considered their struggle futile. However, they challenged the difficult circumstances, holding on to their goal and supporting the leader. 

On February 27, leader Abdullah Ocalan announced the initiative for a peaceful and democratic solution, not as a surrender, but as a step reflecting his belief that the armed struggle had borne fruit and that it was time to transition to political and legal work. This initiative was widely welcomed by the Kurdish and Arab communities, as well as regional and international governments, receiving support from all countries, parties, and social segments 

We in the "Noon" Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan support this initiative with all hope and renew our pledge to follow the leader's footsteps in this historical phase. We are certain that we are partners in writing the honorable history of women and the peoples of the Middle East, and we call on everyone to fulfill their duties to succeed in this historical mission initiated by the leader, to be worthy of the sacrifices made for freedom, and in celebration of women's struggle.
