Night rallies for physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan

The Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in Amuda organized a torchlight rally today, marking the 27th anniversary of the international conspiracy against leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The rally began at Martyr Jihad Square and proceeded to the Syrian Revolutionary Youth center, with participation from movement members, local residents, and displaced people from Afrin and Shahba.

Participants carried images of leader Ocalan and banners reading, “Leader’s Freedom is a Red Line,” chanting slogans such as “Long live the leader’s resistance” and “No life without the leader.”

Upon reaching the youth center, participants observed a moment of silence for the martyrs, followed by a statement read by movement member Firas Ali.

The statement emphasized: “We demand clearly and unequivocally the physical freedom of the leader, which is a red line that must not be crossed or compromised. His continued isolation is a blatant violation of all human and democratic values.”

It affirmed that “the resistance will continue with the spirit of the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, who have embodied the highest meaning of steadfastness, and with the spirit of youth who refuse submission.”

In Gri Spî, the youth staged a torchlight rally that passed through the main street and market, with administrative member Ibtehal Mahmoud delivering a statement.

The statement noted: “This conspiracy was not only against the leader personally, but against the will of peoples striving for freedom and against the democratic nation project that unites the region’s components on the basis of brotherhood and coexistence, aiming to resolve all regional issues.”

It added: “Global powers continue trying to break the will of peoples through leader Ocalan’s imposed isolation in Imrali prison, yet his ideas remain an eternal flame, guiding the path of resistance across NE Syria.”

The statement concluded: “We will continue the struggle until the leader achieves physical freedom, because his freedom is the freedom of all peoples.”

In Derik and Qamishli, youth rallies began from Derik Mall and moved toward the youth center, chanting “No life without the leader” and “Long live the leader’s resistance.”

Upon arrival, participants observed a moment of silence for the martyrs, followed by a speech by movement member Afadi Afrin, emphasizing the international conspiracy against leader Ocalan and its targeting of the Kurdish people and all freedom-loving communities.

In Shaddadi, a statement read by movement member Muhammad Al-Jumaa condemned the ongoing conspiracy and isolation aimed at breaking the spirit of peoples who support leader Ocalan’s liberating philosophy.

It stressed: “We will raise our voices until leader Abdullah Ocalan achieves physical freedom, thwarting all attempts to crush the will of free peoples.”

In Hasaka, a rally  began at Church Roundabout and ended at City Bus Square in the Nasra neighborhood. Upon arrival, participants observed a moment of silence for the martyrs, and a statement was read by Lwand Hassan from the youth movement’s Hasaka administration.

The statement emphasized that the international conspiracy against leader Ocalan sought to break the will of peoples and prevent democratic transformation in the region, as the leader philosophy continues to inspire millions.

It noted that the siege, starvation, and shelling of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo are linked to this ongoing conspiracy, as attempts to silence the Kurdish voice and suppress the Autonomous Administration Model.

Participants reaffirmed their commitment to resisting any threats to the security and stability of northern and eastern Syria, upholding the achievements of the Rojava revolution, and continuing the path of resistance.

In the city of al-Darbasiyah, the march started in front of the Agriculture Center and proceeded toward the Municipality Roundabout. Upon arrival, participants observed a moment of silence, after which a statement was read by Hevin Afrin, a member of the Young Women’s Union.

The statement affirmed that the struggle of Leader Abdullah Ocalan continues despite the policies of annihilation and torture imposed on him. It stressed, “Following Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s call to the youth, to women, and to the world at large, and in response to the historical responsibilities that lie upon us and his call for peace and a democratic society, we, as the Young Women’s Union, announce the launch of the campaign ‘With Communal Comradeship, Live with Leader Abdullah Ocalan,’ and we struggle for the Leader’s physical freedom.”

The events concluded with chants of “No life without the leader” and “Long live the leader’s resistance.”
