Newroz celebrations show extent of love for leader Ocalan
The scenes of Newroz 2024 in NE Syria expressed many meanings, foremost of which is the priority of achieving leader freedom in addition to the emphasis that art is a type of resistance.
NE Syria witnessed a celebration of Newroz 2024 with widespread participation from Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Turkmens and Circassians.
Some of celebrations were postponed due to heavy rains, such as in “Kobani, Aleppo, and Shahba,” but they were organized on other days following March 21.
Nerwroz 2024 is different from previous years
Member of the Preparatory Committee for Newroz Aleppo and member of the Democratic Union Party, Valentina Abdo, said that the celebrations were different from previous years, “due to the great participation of the people in Newroz this year, and because it was organized under the slogan (Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan is the solution to the Kurdish issue), as “It expressed a renewed message of engagement, and a pledge to escalate resistance for freedom.”
Preparations play a role in the success of the celebration
Abdo added: “In terms of preparing the stage, decorating it, and bringing the necessary equipment, in addition to the intensive training of the teams, all of this contributed to enriching the celebrations and making them distinct from previous ones.”
A message to the occupier!
Abdo pointed out another aspect that also distinguished this year’s celebrations: “The speeches confirmed on escalating the pace of the struggle until achieving the freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and all the occupied areas, especially Afrin,” she said. The words gave new hope and motivated the displaced and the patriots for the resistance, and this is a positive step to achieve everything that was said during the celebrations.”
As for the reactions of the participants about chanting slogans that salute the resistance of leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison, Abdo confirmed that indicates sending a message to the Turkish authorities that the Kurdish people will stand hand in hand by adopting the thought and philosophy of Leader Abdullah Ocalan.
Valentina Abdo concluded by saying: “The people organized themselves according to the ideas of the leader Abdullah Ocalan. They are fully aware of the reality of the enemy and the traitors, they believe that everything the leader proposes serves them and achieves their freedom, so they showed their loyalty through Newroz.
