New Turkish strikes hit Southern Kurdistan
Turkish Occupation Escalates Attacks on Southern Kurdistan The Turkish occupation army targeted villages in the countryside of Duhok Province in Southern Kurdistan, in a new military escalation.

The Turkish occupation army has once again escalated its attacks on Southern Kurdistan, targeting today the villages of Duhok Province, despite the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) having declared a unilateral ceasefire and the suspension of their military movements.
Kamiran Othman, the member of the CPT organization, confirmed that the Turkish occupation army carried out 48 artillery shellings today on border villages in Duhok Province, part of the federal region of Southern Kurdistan.
The shelling specifically targeted the villages of Meje, Kifne Meje, and Spindar in the Birkare area, in addition to the villages of Kawherze and Blave in the Nahili area of the Metina region in the Amadiya district.
It is noteworthy that this military escalation comes at a time when the People’s Defense Forces have announced a ceasefire and halted their military movements.
