The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced in a statement that it met with a delegation from the Iraqi border guards regarding the status of the borders of southern Kurdistan, and revealed that its attacks in Southern Kurdistan are being carried out in coordination with Iraqi forces.

Today, the Ministry of Defense of the Turkish occupation state issued a written statement about its meeting with a delegation from the Iraqi border guards.

The statement stated that they held a meeting with a delegation from the Iraqi border guards regarding the security of the borders of Southern Kurdistan, and that their operations in Southern Kurdistan are being carried out in coordination with the Iraqi forces.

This meeting between the Turkish army and the Iraqi border guards came days after the latter, consisting of officers and supporters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, deployed its forces in the Kani Masi and Ciladiz regions.

Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Guler announced yesterday, Monday, that they are awaiting the Iraqi government’s response regarding their new attacks expected in the coming days, and stated that if the Iraqi government does not cooperate with Turkey, they will restrict Iraq in trade and the water issue.
