Today, lawyers from the Asrın Law Office—Suzan Akiba, İbrahim Bilmez, İmran Amakçı, and Cengiz Yürükel—filed an official request with the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the İmralı Prison Administration to visit their clients: Abdullah Öcalan, Ömer Hayri Konar, Hamili Yıldırım, and Veysi Aktaş. These detainees have been subjected to what has been described as a policy of systematic isolation and punitive measures for over three years.

The lawyers of the Asrın Law Office have been submitting two requests every week to the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Imrali Prison Administration in an effort to secure a meeting with their clients. However, they have yet to receive any response from the authorities.

The isolation measures imposed at Imralı Prison remain in place, with leader Abdullah Ocalan reportedly being denied his basic legal and human rights as a detainee.
