The lawyers from the Al-Asr Human Rights Office,Ibrahim Bilmez, Cengiz Yurekli, Sozhan Akiba, and Umran Emekçi, have submitted a new request to the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor in Bursa and the Directorate of Imrali Prison to meet with leader Abdullah Ocalan and the other Imrali detainees: Omer Khayri Kunar, Hamili Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş.

On November 21, the Turkish authorities imposed a new six-month ban on meetings between leader Abdullah Ocalan and the three other detainees in Imrali, Omer Khayri Kunar, Veysi Aktaş, and Hamili Yildirim, and their lawyers. Appeals against this decision, filed by the Al-Asr Law Office, were rejected.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan has been imprisoned for more than 24 years in Imrali Island Prison in the Sea of Marmara, following an international conspiracy carried out by global and regional powers in 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
