New Israeli incursion into Quneitra Countryside

Three vehicles belonging to the Israeli forces entered today the area west of the village of Saida al-Hanout in the southern countryside of Quneitra, coming from the Syrian Golan through the Tal Abu al-Ghaithar gate.

The vehicles advanced toward agricultural land west of the village, amid military movements in the surrounding area. So far, there have been no reports of searches, arrests, or clashes with local residents.

The incursion comes amid repeated Israeli military movements in the Quneitra countryside in recent days, including the establishment of temporary checkpoints and incursions into the vicinity of several villages, raising concerns that restrictions could be imposed on civilians’ movement and their access to their agricultural land.

Earlier today, an Israeli patrol entered the vicinity of al-Rafid village in the southern countryside of Quneitra and reached an area near a position belonging to United Nations forces, before searching a number of civilian homes in the western neighborhood of the village.
