New details about Sweida attack’s victims: death toll rise to 2,026

The bodies of five people were found in Al-Mouwasat and Al-Mujtahid hospitals, missing since July 16, during the bloody events that took place in the city of Sweida, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The bodies of seven people, including a woman, were also found. They were executed by Syrian transitional government forces during the attack on the city on July 13.

The combined death toll since Sunday morning, July 13, as a result of clashes, field executions, and Israeli shelling, shows a total of 2,026 deaths, distributed as follows:

730 people from Sweida, the majority of whom were Druze, including 162 civilians (including 21 children and 51 women), five of whom were found in Al-Mujtahid Hospital, and 12 other civilians from the non-Druze community, including six women.

477 members of the Syrian transitional government forces, including 40 members of the Bedouin tribes and a Lebanese militant.

15 members of the transitional government forces were killed in Israeli airstrikes.

Three people, including a woman and two unidentified individuals, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Ministry of Defense building in Damascus.

Two media professionals were killed during clashes in Sweida.

796 Druze, including 73 women, 15 children, and an elderly man, including 20 medical personnel from the National Hospital in Sweida, were executed by Transitional Government forces.

Three members of the Bedouin tribes, including a woman and a child, were executed by Druze militants.
