New batches arrive from Lebanon to NE, Syria

The Abu Kahf (Al-Tayha) crossing south of Manbij Canton in North and East Syria is witnessing the entry of thousands of Syrians returning from Lebanon due to the military escalation in Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah.

In light of these difficult circumstances, the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is making great efforts to accommodate large numbers, under the supervision of the crisis cell specialized in the affairs of returnees and arrivals from Lebanon, which was formed by the Autonomous Administration to facilitate matters and care for them.

Today, new batches of returnees and arrivals arrived to the region through the Abu Kahf (Al-Tayha) crossing south of Manbij canton, including hundreds of people from the region, who were received by members of the crisis cell to welcome them and facilitate all procedures for their entry as quickly as possible into the regions of the North and East Syria region, according to what ANHA's correspondent monitored.

Al-Tabqa crossing is also witnessing the continued influx of Syrian returnees and Lebanese arrivals, as new batches arrived today as well, including dozens, according to what ANHA's correspondent monitored.

In this regard, Sheikhmos Ahmed, a member of the crisis cell specializing in the affairs of returnees and arrivals from Lebanon, spoke to ANHA's agency and said: "We are still working to receive our people from the region, and Syrians from outside the region, as well as the Lebanese, and we are trying to secure everything they need."

Sheikhmos Ahmed addressed his appeal to all Syrians in Lebanon: "We appeal to all Syrians in Lebanon, that the doors of the Autonomous Administration are open to you and provide facilities through its representation in Lebanon."

He appealed to "international organizations to provide support and assistance to the Autonomous Administration so that it can carry out this great responsibility. The Autonomous Administration provides assistance to thousands of arrivals and displaced persons to its areas, and today it welcomes thousands with open arms. International support must be provided to alleviate the burden on the Autonomous Administration."

Sheikhmous Ahmed stressed that the priority of the Democratic Autonomous Administration is to receive all Syrians in all difficult circumstances. "The Autonomous Administration responds to the calls of Syrians in Lebanon or in the areas of the Damascus government, and the administration will secure buses to transport the families stranded in Damascus to the areas of the Autonomous Administration, noting that they are coming from Lebanon and are appealing to the Autonomous Administration to secure buses to transport them."

He said: "The Autonomous Administration is always the first to receive all Syrians in difficult times and disasters."
