Another month of violations, crimes passes in occupied Afrin

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin - Syria published today the September report on the violations and crimes committed by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state against the people of the occupied city of Afrin.

The report included statistics, numbers and documentation of the crimes committed by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against civilians, including killing and assaults, in addition to the illegal seizure of their property, cutting down trees and attempts at demographic change.

The statistics stated that the number of murders reached 6, two of which were by shelling and others were suicides due to the tragic conditions the city is suffering from.

As for the injuries and wounded, the number of them reached 26 civilians, according to the organization, 6 of them by bombing and more than 20, including 8 women and 12 children in the events of the village of Kakhra, affiliated with the city of Mobata.

In the file of cutting trees, the report stated that the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state worked to cut down about 1000 olive trees and forest trees to trade in their firewood.

The report also noted that the demographic change operations are ongoing and that the construction of a new settlement consisting of 300 housing units has begun in the city of Jandars by the so-called "King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action" in cooperation with one of the institutions affiliated with the Turkish occupation state.

The report stated that the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state also seized the lands and properties of the people of the occupied city of Afrin in general and the people of the village of Kakhra in particular, and forced them to give up their properties and pay them royalties.

In conclusion, the report indicated that many forests and olive trees in several areas in the occupied countryside of Afrin were burned as a result of deliberate fires set by mercenaries.

It is noteworthy that the Violations Documentation Center revealed today the names of more than 50 kidnapped people from occupied Afrin who were held by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state, at different times during the past month of September.
