“National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Committee” holds second meeting

The “National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Committee,” formed under the "Call for Peace and Democratic Society" initiative in the Turkish Parliament, convened its second meeting on Friday morning in the General Assembly Hall of the Grand National Assembly in the capital, Ankara.

The meeting was attended by prominent figures from the country’s security and military institutions, including Turkish Intelligence Chief Ibrahim Kalın, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, and Defense Minister Yaşar Güler.

According to parliamentary sources, the three officials are expected to deliver detailed briefings related to their duties, in addition to answering committee members’ questions on several sensitive security and political issues.

The meeting is being held behind closed doors following the committee’s decision to restrict attendance to members only, with the press barred from covering the proceedings. Details of the discussions or agenda items will not be disclosed unless an official decision is later made to release them.
