On Wednesday, the mothers of YBŞ fighters, who were captured by the Iraqi army, began a sit-in in front of the Intelligence Center in Shengal to protest the detention of their sons and call for their immediate release, according to Roj News Agency.

This move comes after the Iraqi army captured five fighters from the Shengal Resistance Units on March 18, following their defense against an attack launched by Iraqi forces in the region.

As part of their protest against these actions, the mothers held banners condemning the Iraqi army’s practices, with slogans reading, "We will not accept the state's oppression of us" and "We will continue our actions until our sons are released." They affirmed their commitment to continuing the sit-in until their demands are met.
