The Secretary of the Kurdish Leftist Party in Syria, Mohammad Musa, spoke to ANHA agency about the situation in Rojava, specifically about Kurdish unity.

At the beginning of his talk, Mohammed Moussa explained that the attacks on the Kurdish people in the region were genocidal attacks, in which the Kurds suffered many casualties. He pointed to the rights of the Kurds and referred to Shibani's words, who said, "The Kurds who come to us did not propose decentralization."

Moussa added, "Let everyone know that the Kurds held their conference in Qamishli in April of last year and demanded a decentralized Syria.

Mousa touched on the parties that held meetings with the interim government in Syria, and did not act according to the document stemming from the "Unity of Kurdish Ranks and Position" conference, and said: "Why doesn't each party act according to the document?" The Syrian Democratic Forces are a military force and conduct meetings from a military perspective.

As for the political discourse of the Kurdish National Council (ENKS), it is far from this existing document. And so far, the interim government has not allowed the Kurdish delegation to hold a meeting, nor has it accepted it. Moving according to the document is an urgent necessity. Unfortunately, another situation has emerged today, where those old disputes between political parties are resurfacing once again.

Moussa pointed out that this is not the time to stir up these disputes, and that this matter is far from the interests of the Kurdish people. He pointed out that stirring up problems carries risks, and said: "Our need lies in overcoming past differences and working together respectfully in front of the Kurdish people's stand, the wounded, and the blood of our martyrs." That stand of our people was the reason for changes in public opinion.

Mousa explained that they, as a Kurdish political movement, must leave all disagreements behind them, as they need to develop their national stance. He emphasized the necessity of "forming a group based on the April 26 document – emanating from the Kurdish Unity Conference – to achieve the rights of the Kurdish people in the constitution and to build a democratic Syria with political decentralization. They need to establish a Syrian Kurdish reference."

Mohammed Mousa concluded by stating that their issue is a national, democratic, and humanitarian one, saying: "We say that there are two inseparable matters; we have a strategic proposal, which is a decentralized Syria and the rights of the Kurdish people and all components." As for the tactical aspect, although we do not believe that al-Julani and his government possess the mentality to build a civil state, they have built a one-color state, and their project is a project of regional powers, the first of which is the Turkish state, and then it was accepted by America and Europe. Also, Arab countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar have all supported him. But we will remain steadfast in our demands.
