The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries have escalated their attacks on the region of North and East Syria since the night of Wednesday, October 23, by air and land. The Syrian Democratic Forces used the right of legitimate defense against the Turkish attacks.

As part of the defense, the forces of the Manbij Military Council and the forces of the Kurdish Front targeted 5 bases of the Turkish occupation on October 24.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Manbij Military Council, Ibrahim Hamdan, explained: "The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries present in the Turkish bases in the occupied areas are carrying out a dangerous escalation on the front lines with the Manbij canton."

Hamdan threatened the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries that their crimes that they have committed and continue to commit against the people of North and East Syria, and indicated that their forces have monitored some military mobilization of the occupation and its mercenaries on the fronts opposite their forces, and the placement of missile platforms, artillery and tanks.

Hamdan confirmed that their forces are fully monitoring these movements and taking the necessary measures, and are ready to respond and confront any type of attacks on North and East Syria.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Manbij Military Council noted in response to the Turkish attacks through a statement he published on October 26, that "our role will not be defensive only, as long as our people and their property are being targeted in a fundamental and systematic manner, and that our forces in the Manbij Military Council pledge to the people of Manbij to respond appropriately to these violations."

The Commander-in-Chief of the Manbij Military Council, Ibrahim Hamdan, stressed the priority of protecting the canton and its people, and pledged, "We will maintain the security, stability and safety of our people in the Manbij canton and the region of North and East Syria in general from any aggression at any time and place, and our determination is firm in defending our land and our people."

The child Farah al-Barho, (11 years old), was martyred after the Turkish occupation state targeted her family's home last Thursday with an artillery shell, and her brother, the child Samir Barho (8 years old), was wounded. On October 24.
