The Afrin-Syria Human Rights Organization reported from sources that violent clashes took place yesterday between two groups affiliated with the Sham Legion mercenaries, namely the mercenaries of Abu Arab Hamwiyya and the mercenaries of the leader Abu Tahoun, in the town of Maidan Akbis in the Rajo district of the occupied Afrin countryside. This incident resulted in four people being injured, with two of them seriously wounded.

The clashes between the two parties began after information was received indicating that one of the mercenary leaders attempted to defect, accompanied by about 45 mercenaries from the Al-Siddiq Battalion mercenaries operating within the ranks of the “Sham Legion” mercenaries, and to join the mercenaries of the “Sultan Suleiman Shah Division - Al-Amshat,” and an attempt to sell the smuggling corridors that they control on it to the mercenaries of Al-Amshat.

During their attempt to flee the town, the mercenaries Abu Arab Hamwiyya managed to apprehend the mercenary Abu Tahaun. They took control of Abu Tahoun's assets and handed him to the Levant mercenaries.

The area remains tense with sporadic shooting incidents.
