Under the slogan "Physical Freedom for Leader Apo Is The Key To Solution And Achieving Peace," thousands of women from Jazira canton in North-East Syria launched a massive public march in Tirbê Spîyê city, denouncing the international conspiracy that targeted the leader Abdullah Ocalan on October 9, 1998.

The march set out from the city's eastern entrance, where women gathered holding pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and flags of the Kongra Star. Then, they proceeded through the main street to the central market, chanting slogans demanding the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and denouncing the international conspiracy described as an attempt to undermine the democratic solution and the freedom of the Kurdish people and the peoples of the region.

In the middle of the market, the march paused for holding a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs. It was followed by a speech delivered by the coordinator of the Kongra Star in North-East Syria, Golestan Gello, who emphasized that the conspiracy began after the leader Ocalan proposed initiatives to resolve the Kurdish issue and achieve freedom for the region's communities, which he sought to discuss with European and international countries.

Gulestan Gello added, "We, women of various components, realize that this conspiracy targeted free peoples, especially women. However, we believe that the leader Abdullah Ocalan's ideology was a turning point, as millions believed in it and women who are struggling today for the leader's physical freedom liberated."

Nejouda Fares, the member of the Women's Council of the Democratic Union Party, also delivered a speech on behalf of the council, noting that the leader Abdullah Ocalan, from within his prison, proved that free will is unbreakable and that thought is stronger than restrictions, presenting the democratic nation project as hope for the peoples of the region.

Nejouda Fares affirmed, "We are not marching today merely to commemorate a painful memory, but rather to achieve upcoming victories and a free future forged by the will of free peoples. From here, we pledge to the leader Abdullah Ocalan to continue the struggle until complete freedom is achieved."

The march concluded with chants demanding the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.
