Today, the people of Raqqa and Manbij took part in two mass rallies, denouncing the isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and emphasizing the continuation of the struggle to achieve his the physical freedom.

Raqqa

The Raqqa rally began near the (new) Raqqa Rasheed Bridge, with a banner read, “The freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is the freedom of oppressed peoples,” “We demand an immediate meeting of lawyers with the leader.”

The participants in the rally walked from the southern end of the Euphrates River towards the city of Raqqa, crossing over the new Raqqa Bridge that opened a few days ago, chanting the slogans “Long live Leader Abdullah Ocalan,” “There is no life without the leader,”

The Co-Chair of the democratic society organizations in Raqqa canton, Rudin Mustafa said: “The Turkish fascist authorities continue to impose absolute isolation on the leader, thinker, and philosopher of humanity, Abdullah Ocalan, for more than 3 years, in addition to continued torture system for 25 years.”

Mustafa explained: “We are fully aware that the oppressive Turkish authorities, and the forces of global hegemony and capitalist modernity did not get the result they wanted from the leader Abdullah Ocalan, while the international silence encouraged the Turkish state to violate the laws by imposing absolute isolation on him."

The Member of the People's Democratic Council in Raqqa Canton, Ali Al-Saleh confirmed the continued struggle to break the isolation and called on all free people in the world to stand with the peoples of NE Syria in order to achieve leader physical freedom.

Manbij

Today, hundreds of people from Manbij Canton, including male and female teachers, the Martyrs’ Families Council, the Zenobia Women’s Gathering Council and political parties demanded the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The joint head of the General Administration of Schools in Manbij, Nouri al-Hassan, delivered a statement on behalf of the Education Body in Manbij.

The statement read:

“Despite the passage of more than 25 years since the international conspiracy against the thinker and leader Abdullah Ocalan, the Turkish fascist state continues to express its barbarism and disregard for all human values by imposing isolation on leader in the Imrali solitary prison on that remote island in the Sea of ​​Marmara, the island that turned by the leader into a beacon of free thought."

The statement explained: “ We address the global powers: Where are your claims to freedom, democracy, and human rights?” How can you boast to these values ​​without doing anything about the inhuman violations against the leader for a quarter of a century?

The statement affirmed that Leader Abdullah Ocalan, who proposed the project of a democratic nation, freedom, the brotherhood of peoples, and a free life for women, and his ideas and aspirations are still the radical and logical solution to all the problems of the Middle East while theTurkish fascism, through its adoption of the policy of one flag, one language, and one nationality limits the freedom of peoples, and opens the door to wars built on sectarian and nationalist foundations.”

The statement explained that the isolation imposed by the Turkish authorities does not only target the leader, but also aims to break the resolve of the free people. The rally ended with an emphasis on the struggle to achieve leader physical freedom.
