Kurdish people from various European countries headed to Cologne early in the morning to participate in the march organized for the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The march started from Deutzer-Werft square in Cologne, with participants carrying pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan and chanting slogans such as "No life without the leader," "Resistance is life," and "Long live leader Apo."

Thousands of participants wore jackets with pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan, raising his pictures and various Kurdish symbols.

The march is scheduled to return to the starting point after touring the main streets of the city, turning into a public rally condemning the system of torture and extermination imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan by the Turkish authorities. It also expresses the continued struggle to achieve his physical freedom as part of the global campaign "Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan, a political solution to the Kurdish issue."
