Marwan al-Ali: Integration steps progressing well

Today, Brigadier General Marwan al-Ali, the commander of the Internal Security Forces in Hasaka appointed by the Syrian Interim Government, visited Hasaka Governor Noureddine Issa at the governorate building, in the presence of Internal Security Forces commander Mahmoud Khalil Ali.

Following a closed meeting between the two, Marwan al-Ali made a statement to the media, confirming that the meeting was positive and that the integration process was progressing well.

In response to journalists' questions, Al-Ali pointed to the implementation of the first three clauses of the agreement signed between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Interim Government on January 29 and announced on January 30.

Speaking about the clauses implemented so far, Al-Ali added, "We agreed on several steps we will take, the most important of which are implementing the aforementioned clauses, taking control of Qamishli Airport and the Rmeilan oil fields, in addition to the withdrawal of military forces to remove points of tension between the two sides."

He confirmed, "Noureddine Issa has been officially appointed as the governor of Hasaka. We visited him. The coming days will be better for the region."

Regarding Kobani, Brigadier General Marwan Al-Ali indicated that the Kobani issue is linked to the general situation in the region, and that normalcy will return to it. He also stressed that the issue of displaced persons is at the top of their priorities, and they are working on this file, expressing his hope to alleviate the severity of the crisis, noting that there are some technical matters that will be worked on by both sides to return the displaced persons.
