The General Command of the Manbij Military Council issued an important statement to the public today, revealing that the Manbij Military Council forces successfully repelled all attacks by Turkish occupation mercenaries on Tishrin Dam and Qereqozaqê Bridge.

The statement read:

"To our people and public opinion, after three days of heroic resistance by the Manbij Military Council forces against Turkish occupation mercenary factions, which launched a large-scale attack from several axes with air support from the Turkish occupation on Tishrin Dam and Qereqozaqê Bridge, our forces were able to repel the mercenary attacks, drive out the remnants, and inflict heavy losses on them.

Despite the ceasefire agreement brokered by the U.S. and at a time when national attention was focused on toppling the Ba'athist regime in Damascus, the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation repeatedly attacked, using all types of weapons, tanks, and armored vehicles, with aerial coverage provided by over 20 Turkish AKINCI drones targeting Qereqozaqê Bridge and Tishrin Dam, southeast of Manbij. Fierce clashes broke out between our forces and the mercenaries.

The Turkish occupation provided continuous aerial support for the mercenary attacks, directly targeting Tishrin Dam with drones, causing severe damage. The combat zones and our forces' positions were also bombarded more than 160 times by drones. Despite the intensive aerial coverage aimed at hindering our resistance, our fighters, employing modern warfare tactics, surrounded the remnants of the mercenaries, set up ambushes, and inflicted significant losses, including the killing of many leaders and the destruction of tanks and vehicles.

With a spirit of initiative and historic resistance, our fighters, led by the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), who fought heroically and face-to-face with the mercenaries at dozens of locations, stood strong. Despite the heavy aerial bombardment by the Turkish occupation, our fighters courageously repelled all attacks, forced the mercenaries to flee, and instilled fear among their ranks.

As a result of our forces' resistance, the mercenaries failed to control Qereqozaqê Bridge and Tishrin Dam. Their vile plans to plunder and destroy the Syrian people's properties, repeating their previous looting experiences, were foiled. The Turkish occupation's plan to control the dam and use it as a blackmail card against our people across all Syrian regions was also thwarted.

Below is the outcome of the battles that took place over the past three days at Qereqozaqê Bridge and Tishrin Dam:

-Number of killed mercenaries: 210 in total, including 142 at Tishrin Dam and 68 at Qaraqozak Bridge, among them 13 mercenary leaders.

-Hundreds wounded.

-Destruction of 39 military vehicles: 28 at Tishrin Dam and 11 at Qereqozaqê Bridge.

-Destruction of 6 Turkish occupation tanks: 2 at Tishrin Dam and 4 at Qereqozaqê Bridge.

-Downing of 5 suicide drones.

-Destruction of 20 mercenary motorcycles at Tishrin Dam.

During the heroic resistance displayed by our forces against these attacks, 8 of our fighters were martyred, and 13 fighters sustained various injuries.

We, in the General Command of the Manbij Military Council, salute the resistance and bravery of our fighters and take pride in their courage in defeating the mercenaries and their backers in our regions. We honor our martyrs, who left their mark on this heroic resistance and engraved their names in the eternal record of our people's conscience. We pledge to our people to elevate the level of resistance to meet their aspirations and honor the sacrifices of our heroic martyrs."
