Man killed, brother injured in traffic accident in Jal Agha

Khashi' al-Hamoud was killed and his brother injured in a traffic accident on the main road near the junction to Abira village, affiliated with Jal Agha, after a motorcycle collided with a car. A preliminary traffic police report indicated that the accident was caused by both drivers' failure to pay attention.

A traffic accident on the main road near the junction to Abira village, affiliated with Jal Agha, claimed the life of Khashi' al-Hamoud, from the village of Dhakhira, east of the town, and left his brother, who was riding with him on the motorcycle, injured.

The accident occurred when the motorcycle collided with a Hyundai car on the main road, killing al-Hamoud at the scene. His brother was transported to a hospital in Dêrik for medical treatment.

According to a preliminary report issued by the Traffic Department, the investigation is still ongoing to determine the exact circumstances of the accident and will continue after investigators are able to take the injured man's statement once his condition improves.

The report added that preliminary findings indicate the collision resulted from both drivers' failure to ensure the road was clear before crossing, leading to a direct collision between the motorcycle and the car.
