The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported today that a warplane believed to belong to the international coalition was observed flying at low altitude over the city of Palmyra in the eastern countryside of Homs, circling over the city approximately three times.

The flight comes amid the continued presence of warplanes over Palmyra and areas of the Syrian desert, following similar flights recorded in mid-September. These flights coincided with aerial activity and strikes targeting positions of ISIS mercenaries in the Sukhnah desert and Jabal al-Amour.
