A video recording by one of the residents of villages in the countryside of Kobani, in the Euphrates Canton, revealed that villages whose Kurdish inhabitants were forced into displacement, fearing extermination, have been subjected to widespread looting and theft.

The speaker in the video explained that these violations targeted civilians’ homes and private property, noting that the looting operations were carried out by factions affiliated with the interim government, taking advantage of the villages being empty of their original residents.

These crimes come amid growing calls to hold those responsible accountable, ensure the protection of civilians’ property, and create safe conditions for their return to their areas.
