Liberating occupied Syrian territories is the people's choice in response to Turkey's ongoing attacks

Against the backdrop of the ongoing attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on the territory of North and East Syria. Popular demands are increasing for the necessity of building a unified front to stop the Turkish attacks, shift from defense to attack, liberate the occupied areas and return them to their people.

We do not fear the occupying state, and we will liberate our occupied cities

Citizen Medina Mustafa Nari, from the city of Kobani, explained: “The Turkish state has been our enemy since the time of our fathers and grandfathers. The land is our land and we will not leave it as long as we are alive. It wants to end our presence on this land, and this is what we will not allow and we will not abandon our land.”

The city of Mustafa confirmed that they will be able to liberate all their occupied cities and will not fear the occupying state and will not retreat before it.

As for Khaled Hamo, also from Kobani, he explained: “The Turkish occupation of Syrian lands brought with it strife, devastation, the displacement of people, and the settlement of other strange people from Syria and even from Palestine in the region, in order to bring about a demographic change in the lands by expelling the indigenous population and stealing their homes.”

Khaled Hamo noted that: “Turkey always threatens the regions of North and East Syria. It does not aim to build Syria, but rather came to occupy these lands. It has been an enemy since the time of our fathers and grandfathers, and today it seeks to implement the Misak-ı Millî, and in order to achieve that it takes for itself many arguments and classifies The Kurds are terrorists, and she herself is the biggest terrorist because she gathered the world’s terrorists and Erdogan appointed himself a caliph over them, forced them into Syria and attacked Syrian sovereignty.”

Hamo stressed that Turkey represents a great danger to the Kurds and Arabs, and called on the Syrian Democratic Forces to liberate the occupied areas, and said: “All the people of the region support it in this step, so that the indigenous people can return to their homes.”

We want to go home

For his part, Anwar Sidi, a displaced person from Girê Spi/Tal Abyad who lives in the city of Kobani, said: “We want the Syrian Democratic Forces to launch a campaign in which all people participate to re-liberate the occupied areas such as Afrin, Girê Spi, and Serêkaniyê, and return the people to them, and we will all be behind them.”

Anwar Sidi added: "Many years have passed and we have been displaced. We want to return to our homes."

As Fadila Abdi says: “We want the SDF to launch a campaign to liberate the occupied areas of Turkey, such as Afrin, Girê Spi, and Serêkaniyê, and we will stand behind these forces until this goal is achieved.”
