Leader Ocalan sends message to Makhmour camp residents

At the beginning of his message, the leader extended warm greetings to all the camp’s residents, praising the historic role they have played in the Kurdish liberation struggle. He affirmed that through their sacrifices and steadfastness, they have proven that “resistance is life,” preserving and carrying forward the legacy of struggle despite harsh conditions.

The leader emphasized that the people of Makhmour, who have always been a cornerstone of the resistance movement, are now called upon to play a key role in building peace and a democratic society.

He stressed that this responsibility requires holding firmly to the heritage of resistance and activating it in both the present and the future. He also highlighted that addressing the camp’s social, political, and human rights issues must be done collectively and through cooperation, avoiding narrow personal or family interests.

The leader also touched on the broader issue of refugees, stating that any return to their homelands must be collective and organized, based on genuine collective will. He urged the people of Makhmour to consider this path together.

He concluded his message by sending his heartfelt greetings and love to the women and youth of Makhmour.
