Leader Ocalan commemorates decisions of PKK Congress 

On February 27, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) held its 12th congress in response to the "Peace and Democratic Society" call made by leader Apo, and announced the martyrdom of comrades leaders Ali Haydar Kaytan (Fuad) and Riza Altun.

leader Abdullah Ocalan sent a letter regarding the PKK congress and the martyrdom of Kaytan and Altun. Lawyer Faiq Ozgür Arul from the Al-Asr Office read the letter at the memorial ceremony for Kaytan and Altun.

Abdullah Ocalan's message read:

"Dear Comrades

I was deeply saddened when I heard that Ali Haydar Kaytan and Riza Altun had passed away.

I will later make a detailed assessment of the memory of these two comrades, but for now I remember them with great respect.

They have always had a place in the struggle for national existence and a democratic society.

They will forever play their role as the fundamental, inspiring values of the paradigm and the foundation of the new era.

They will continue to exist as the permanent leaders of our struggle.

On this occasion, I would like to respectfully commemorate the decisions taken at the historic 12th Congress and the messages regarding the future.
